Where are St. Meto's products made?

All of our products are formulated and filled in the USA and dreamt up in California.

How do I check the status of my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details.

My aluminum tube showed up dented, is the product okay?

Yes. Aluminum tubes are designed to protect the formula inside even if they become dented or creased in transit. We love the imperfections and it’s one of the reasons we chose this material.

My package says it’s delivered, but I don’t see it.

Sometimes carriers mark packages as delivered a little early. Check around your delivery area and with neighbors, then give it 1-2 days. Still missing? Contact us—we’ll help.

Do you have gift cards?

Not at this time, but we’re working on offering them in the near future.

The Products

Do they contain sulfates, silicones, phlalates or parabens?

No. Our formulas are free of sulfates, silicones, phthalates, parabens, and harsh surfactants—always.

Are they vegan and cruelty free?

Yes. Every ingredient we use is vegan and we never test on animals.

Are they gluten free?

Yes. Mother Clay contains no gluten or gluten-derived ingredients.

Can I use Mother Clay with my hair extensions?

Yes, but we recommend checking with your stylist first, as some adhesives or bonds may react differently to detoxifying products and you may want to avoid applying near your scalp in that case.

Can I use Mother Clay on color treated hair?

Yes. Mother Clay is color-safe. For best results, wait at least 5 days after a fresh color service before using.

Are products made for sensitive skin?

Yes, we went the extra mile and did testing just for you. We are safe for sensitive skin and dermatologist & pediatrician approved.  We choose every ingredient with sensitive scalps and skin in mind. However, as with any new product, we recommend a patch test if you’re prone to sensitivities.

Will Mother Clay help with hair loss?

Mother Clay supports the foundation for healthier, fuller hair by detoxifying buildup, encouraging scalp circulation, and promoting an optimal environment for growth.

Is there fragrance added to the products?

Our scent comes purely from essential oils—never synthetic fragrance. The natural blend features cedarwood and rosemary for an uplifting, grounding aroma.

Why does the color of the product look different from my last order?

Because we work with natural and mineral-derived ingredients, slight variations in color or texture are completely normal and part of the beauty of the clay.

Are St. Meto products safe to use during pregnancy?

Yes, our formula is crafted without sulfates, silicones, parabens, artificial fragrance, or harsh chemicals. Always consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

Are your products made for all skin and hair types?

Yes. Mother Clay was formulated to work beautifully across all hair textures and scalp types.
Should you be prone to severe skin issues, please consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns.

Are St. Meto products safe to use on keratin treated hair?

Yes, our formula is gentle and crafted without sulfates and harsh surfactants, so it’s safe for keratin-treated hair.

Are the aluminum tubes fully recyclable?

Yes. Our aluminum tubes and their caps are 100% recyclable however the cap will need to be removed from the tube to do this.

Do St. Meto products have an expiry date?

Mother Clay has a shelf life of 36 months when stored in a cool, temperate environment.

Why is Mother Clay a single use tube?

We formulated the quantity of product for maximum freshness and the right amount of product for a full treatment. Clay needs more product to affectively absorb than your typical conditioning treatment and the full saturation is what benefits every single strand.
Longer, thicker hair may require more than one tube.

Subscriptions

Why is Mother Clay suggested as a monthly subscription?

Hair thrives with consistency. Our subscription options encourage routine to help you be more in tune with what your hair needs, reduce the excess product we consume and overall, improve the health of your hair.

Can I change or cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can update, pause, or cancel anytime through your account or by contacting our team.

Can I skip or edit my subscription date?

Absolutely. You can adjust your delivery schedule anytime, as well as gift your monthly treatment to someone you know will love it.
